After a long off season and slow progress on plans for the 2015 race season, a new race car is finally on it’s way – a BSpec/Pirelli World Challenge TCB-prepared 2010 Honda Fit Sport! BSpec is an exciting prospect because the same car can compete in SCCA Club and Pro racing, the Pirelli World Challenge.

The car itself has been a race car for nearly all it’s life. It was professionally built by Shea Racing and has since competed in Pirelli World Challenge racing. Previous owner Tim Mincey, Sr., out of Florida decided to move up to the TCA class with a Honda Civic Si, so the Fit went for sale on eBay. A friend sent me the link and less than an hour later I had a deposit on the car – it was too good of a deal to pass up.

So, with the new car come new race plans. My end goal for this season is to compete in the Pirelli World Challenge pro race at Mid-Ohio on August 12-14. PWC will be racing as a support race for the NASCAR Xfinity series that weekend, which means big crowds at the track, plus TV coverage of the World Challenge races. Wish me luck!
